This is the course website for Section 2 of Statistical Machine Learning (STAT 253) taught by Professor Leslie Myint at Macalester College for Spring 2026.

Materials were developed by Macalester statistics faculty (Kelsey Grinde, Brianna Heggeseth, Alicia Johnson, and Leslie Myint) and draw heavily upon our course textbook, the 2nd edition of An Introduction to Statistical Learning with Applications in R.

The structure of this site was inspired by an eCOTS 2024 workshop led by Devin Becker: see here for materials.
